Homestead cabinets, both Traditional Face Framed and European Frameless, are all constructed of 3/4" thick plywood for the sides, floor and ceiling forming a sealed unit with 1/4" plywood back. We do not use any particleboard. The face frames are solid wood joined with mortise and tenon. Smooth gliding drawers with concealed undermount self-closing slides are made of hard maple, dovetailed for strength and beauty. Our drawers are equipped with BLUMOTION – a unique system for smooth and silent closing. All the adjustable shelves are 3/4" thick.
Construction styles include Framed Cabinets with Lipped Doors, 1/4" Overlay, Flush/Plain Inset, 1/4" Beaded Inset, 3/8" Beaded Inset, and European Style Frameless.
Our wood selection is practically limitless. We select only the finest, premium, Furniture-grade woods available including Pennsylvania Cherry, Hard White Maple, Red Oak, Mahogany, Quartered White Oak, Rustic Pine, White Ash, Vertical Grain Fir, Butternut, along with many exotics and figured woods species.
